Project: Reorganisation of fundraising for King’s Health Partners.
Following the creation of the King’s Health Partnership, in 2011 King’s College London agreed to take on the fundraising for shared priorities for all three of the KHP partners: King’s College Hospital, South London and Maudsley, and Guy’s and St Thomas’ (incorporating the Evelina Children’s Hospital).
The fundraising partnership was reviewed during 2016 and a decision made to re-organise the partnership. As part of this it was agreed to transfer fundraising for King’s College Hospital back to the King’s College Hospital Charity. KCL asked Alveo Consulting to help them manage this transition: to scope out, negotiate and implement the de-merger.
The transition was handled smoothly and successfully enabling King’s College Hospital Charity to take over the fundraising programme and build on its success. Whilst we handled the project management ourselves, we worked closely with the team to document policies and processes and to mitigate the impact of this transition.
